Time for my haircut!

It’s about that time… I have been noticing that in the summer guys come in for a cut much more often then women, this includes myself. Ladies don’t just throw your hair in a ponytail, you will grow tired of it much faster then if you came in for regular trims. So make sure you book your appointment with ample time so you can get the exact day and time you want to come in.

Thinking by Walter D Wintle

If you think you are beaten, you are
If you think you dare not, you don’t,
If you like to win, but you think you can’t
It is almost certain you won’t.

If you think you’ll lose, you’re lost
For out of the world we find,
Success begins with a fellow’s will
It’s all in the state of mind.

If you think you are outclassed, you are
You’ve got to think high to rise,
You’ve got to be sure of yourself before
You can ever win a prize.

Life’s battles don’t always go
To the stronger or faster man,
But soon or late the man who wins

Recording Artist

Here is a photo shoot I did with the former lead singer of Shut Up & Dance. The bands manager rented out a roller skate rink for the shoot. I had cut & colored her hair prior to the shoot.

We got the cover!

A couple months back I posted a few behind the scenes images of our “on the rocks” shoot. Well we got the cover of Orlando Style magazine July/ August. I posted some of the images in my portfolio but, if you wanna see the full spread I have a link in press.

Blond Pink Ombre

For this color I first lightened her hair to a soft pale blond. Then I did a reverse Ombre so instead of going from dark roots to light ends, I went from blond roots to a soft pink and then to a magenta. Now the cut is not for everyone but, she pulls it off very well. The sides and back are taken down very short and the over all cut is directed to one side. There is a strong angled blunt weight line on the right side that angles diagnally down from the crown to the fringe and vertically down from the crown to the occipital bone, and in the front a soft baby fringe.

Dark Pink Ombre

This is a pink Ombre I did last week at work. I blended it down from a violet brown to a magenta and finally a soft pink with a long layered haircut with a soft fringe.

I had a great trip…

We had an amazing time in Puerto Rico, from San Juan to Culebra. When we flew in to San Juan we went straight to La Concha Resort were we checked in, then we decided to go to old San Juan for a late lunch. After we finished this amazing churrosco (skirt steak), I had mine with mofongo (mashedm plantains)… We took a stroll threw the city until we reached the fort El Morro where we took in the history and the beautiful views. Afterwards called a cab and headed back to the hotel. The next day we just relaxed by the beach, hung out by the pool, and then decided to go to the mall for a little shopping, it was great. On our last full day in San Juan we booked a tour to go see the rainforest El Yunque. It was fun getting in touch with nature and going for a hike. We made it to a couple waterfalls, took some pictures, then headed back. The very next day we hopped on a puddle jumper and flew to Culebra. It only took us about 20min to get there so it wasn’t bad. I actually enjoyed the flight and took a bunch of pictures from up there. When we landed we had a van waiting for us to go to the hotel. After we settled in, a few of us headed down to the pool were they had food and drinks waiting for us and we all just hung around waiting for everyone to arrive. I took a nice dip in the pool and then met up with everyone later while I enjoyed a nice birthday dinner. Now the next morning was Monday and we had to start hair and makeup on the models crazy early so we could do a sunrise photo shoot but, not exactly knowing when the sun rose up plus a couple models coming in late we missed it. We still had an amazing shoot regardless on one of the top five best beaches in the world Flamenco beach. We got back had some food, relaxed, then we all got together and took 3 boats out and cruised around some islands eventually docking at a small uninhabited island called Culebrita. We just Hung out for a while, went for a dip, saw some sea turtles and sting rays, then later that night did another small shoot. The next morning we had to get up early again and have all the models ready so we could split up into 2 groups and shoot at different locations. My group went on the boat back to Culebrita and roamed around the island looking for locations to shoot. We definitely found some amazing locations on that island. Then we headed back, took a nap, and met back up for dinner. All and all it was a great trip. I enjoyed it very much. Hopefully we will be able to do it again all around the carribean.
